We have a number of half and three-quarter size fiddles and guitars, Soprano ukuleles and D whistles for hire, especially for younger players.

We offer the following classes, depending on numbers and skill levels.
Absolute Beginners
This class is for players at the very earliest stage of playing. Learn how to hold the fiddle and bow, name the strings and fingers, build up coordination and musical skills by playing very simple tunes together.
Beginners
For players who understand the basic fiddle, ready to learn playing complete tunes
Improvers
For players who have been playing over a year. Learn simple tunes together using the first 3 fingers and open strings. Develop musical skills by playing together. Learn specifically Scottish tunes like March, Waltz etc.
Intermediate / Advanced
For more experienced players of a few years, who are confident fiddle players. Able to learn tunes by ear and to play arrangements of the Scottish fiddle repertoire.

This class is for Absolute Beginners who will learn to hold the instrument and strum and learn the principal fingers to get started with a few simple chords, progressing to learning simple tunes during the term.

The Junior Ukulele class is for children aged 6 upwards.

The Junior whistle class is for children aged 6 upwards.
Whistle is a great first instrument for children as it is quick and easy for them to begin learning tunes.
We teach popular tunes and also use musical games to help with musicianship.

Junior Banjo – Tenor (4 String) MONDAY
For players who have been playing over a year and have access to their own instrument. (This is not an absolute beginners class)
Learn tunes suitable for ‘Irish tuning -GDAE’ tenor banjo while exploring and developing plucking technique, ornamentation and overall musicality.
